How To Make Coffee Creamer

In this post, I am going to walk you through how to make the easiest coffee creamer you will ever!

Cooking from scratch is giving me so much confidence in the kitchen that I hadn’t expected. I find myself looking for things to make instead of buy. It’s definitely turned into a challenge.

With the new year, I am challenging myself to jump even deeper into cooking from scratch and sustainable living.

My journey to cooking from scratch and sustainable living is just as much about saving money as it is a health benefit. I absolutely am seeing a positive effect in our lives in both our budget and health.

I have never really been into buying coffee from coffee shops. I get all nervous and afraid that I won’t like my high priced coffee and will suffer from buyers remorse. The options they have these days are so overwhelming. Good grief, could I sound any older, ha!

Anyway I much prefer making my own coffee at home. I found this Starbucks inspired recipe that I really love and I think you will too.

I would consider the coffee creamer that I buy from the store to be fairly clean with only four ingredients, but again it cost almost five dollars for thirty two ounces.

When I ran out of my creamer, I had the thought that I will just make my own. To You tube I went searching for a coffee creamer. I already had an idea that it would be pretty easy with just a few ingredients.

Boy, was I right. The recipe I found only used two ingredients, although, I add one extra ingredient that really taste the flavor over the top.

Let’s jump into it.

What you’ll need:

14 oz can of Sweetened condensed milk.

Heaving whipping cream- you will use the same amount as the 14 oz can of condensed milk.

A splash of vanilla.

32 oz glass jar for storing the creamer.

Now I now heaving whipping cream isn’t the cheapest thing to buy, but you only need a little bit for this recipe so it really goes along way.

To your jar, I have a 32 oz glass jar, add the entire can of sweetened condensed milk.

Next, add the whipping cream to the now empty can of condensed milk. Pour that into the jar on top of the condensed milk.

Give it a good shake. Or, if you prefer, use a whisk. You just need to get it all mixed together.

It’s pretty thick and after shaking it up for a minute it still didn’t look mixed, so I switched to a whisk.

That’s probably the way I should have started. Oh well. You live and learn!

I tested the creamer at this point and felt like it was missing something. I thought it was a little bland.

I added a good splash of vanilla. What I am using here is a home made vanilla I was given by a friend.

It completely changed this coffee creamer and the taste was exactly what I was looking for.

Give it another shake and you are ready to add it to your coffee. That’s it! So easy. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
